What is XenDroid?
XenDroid is an Android fork of Xenia Edge essentially – aimed at accuracy over performance to be able to play your Microsoft XBOX 360 games on Android.
ROMs & BIOS
Alright, now before we actually start the setup, you’re going to need Microsoft XBOX 360 games, of course.
I would suggest simply creating a ROMs folder on your internal storage or your SD card if you’re using one and then a xbox360 folder inside of it, as that’s where we’re going to put our games.
ROMs should be in a ISO or ZAR format – if you have them as ZIP or 7Z, they need to be extracted, they will not work.
Installing XenDroid
Alright, at this point, let’s finally install XenDroid.
Head to the XenDroid Github, and download the latest release.
Just grab whatever the latest is – you can see the Latest tag next to the title if you’re unsure.
Once you’ve installed it, go ahead and open it.
First thing that you need to do is Grant All Files Access so go ahead and click that to give it the permission.
Then, you can now Set game folder, which is telling XenDroid where your XBOX 360 games are located.
So select it, and then choose either Internal Storage or SD card depending on where your games are, then your ROMs/xbox360 folder if you followed the guide. Select Use this folder.
You should now see your games start to populate on screen.
Settings
Head to the Settings icon top right and then into Vulkan.
Scroll down to Custom Vulkan driver and if your device is a Snapdragon device, you’ll want to use custom drivers as they greatly improve the performance in game and compatibility.
As of today, 07/29/2026, a good option for Snapdragon 8 Gen 2/Snapdragon 8 Elite devices is Turnip Gen8 V33.
Download the zip, and then in XenDroid, click Custom Vulkan driver and navigate to the zip and select it to use it.
Display
Head back and into Display.
Scroll down and enable Show debug overlay to see framerate and information in-game.
Controller Mapping
Back to the main screen, click the three dots top right.
Select Key mapping.
If your controller isn’t automatically mapped, or not mapped correctly, you can adjust the mappings here by selecting them and pushing the right button on your controller or handheld.
Game Settings
On the main screen, go ahead and push and hold on a game.
You’re going to see Per-game settings – any changes made here will only apply to this specific game, which is very useful because each game may need a different fix.
Game patches
Click Game patches.
If the game has patches, you’ll see them here.
For example, Lost Odyssey may have a 60FPS patch, or Disable Depth of Field and so on.
Manage content
Click Manage content.
This is where you can install DLC or Updates.
Click the + icon top right, and navigate to where you have your DLC or update files and you can install them.
